Every one of our chapters is self-sufficient, with our volunteers governing themselves, recruiting students, hosting fundraisers, and educating the public about homelessness. Our volunteers are then given opportunities in leadership positions, building professional and life-long skills while simultaneously making an impact in their communities.
Every week, our college student volunteers go out in groups of five to densely populated areas of homeless individuals and pass out basic necessities such as food, water, and hygienic products. Through this, we can better understand living needs and how we can help, as well as establish a communal relationship in the communities that we serve.
Volunteer Case Management
Our student Service Navigators are chosen for their dedication and passion for social change. Trained with the tools and best practices to connect homeless individuals to resources and programs, they create person-centered approaches to help our homeless clients achieve their goals.
Everyday, over 11,000 women, men and children in San Diego and Riverside are living in constant uncertainty of where they will find their next meal or bed.
